So the help section for this issue isn't clear to me. I can not determine if it is saying that if i reset my password because I forgot it than all of my information will be gone. All my bookmaks, drive files, extensions, saved passwords, etc. Is that correct or am I misunderstanding what it is saying? If thats the case then why reset it at all?? Just make a new one

That's correct. The data will be lost on the synch server side, not erased from the system on which you reset the password. Make certain that you do the reset on your primary machine, the one with the most up to date data.
