Hello;
I just noticed this happening.
My homepage is set for Google News USA, and has been for many years without issue. Recently I noticed when opening FF (current build- auto update is on) FF opens with an old page. If I hit the home Icon the correct page displays. When FF is closed and reopened the same problem reappears, hit Home Icon and the current page shows.
Things I have tried: cleared catch, run CCleaner, deleted the cookie and re-enabled it, set FF to clear history on closing, shut down FF and restarted, No Joy! Any help will be appreciated.

You can check the target line in the Firefox desktop shortcut (right-click: Properties) in case this web page is appended.

You can check for problems with the sessionstore file in the profile folder that stores session data and rename or delete sessionstore.jsonlz4 and if present delete sessionstore.js used previously.
You lose pinned tabs and open tabs and you will have to recreate them, so if necessary make a note or bookmark them.
