Viewing Firefox History For a Specific Day Only?

Post by BrowseMail »

Hi,

Is it possible to find out in the Firefox history, which web sites were visited on just a specific date? e.g. Show all web sites I visited on 1 Feb 2018? I am using Firefox 58.0.2 on Windows 7.

Thanks.

Hi,
I've never used or know of these 2 extensions, but see if either suits...

&, I don't know if you can search the Library by site &/or date either.
Some more knowledgeable may/will know more.

(Always choose the "Custom" Install.)

open history, click on eg feb then you will have entries sorted by date, scroll down to appropriate date - business as usual since firefox started as phoenix.

I press Ctrl + H to show my history on the left-hand side. If I click on "This Month" (for example), a list of all web sites visited that month is present but it doesn't show web sites visited on just a particular day. Is there any way of showing web sites visited on just a particular day without using extensions? Thanks.

Not that I know off. Mozilla years ago was going to add a 'date-picker' to process history but it was dropped and never saw light of day.

@BrowseMail - i dont get your problem using the method sort after date in history or sidebar - is it too simple for you?

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Viewing_the_b ... _-_Firefox

in library > history you also can add columns in the right pane - Name, Address, Last Visit, Added aso.

Although Firefox doesn't show precisely which sites were visited on a particular date (like Chrome/Opera do), I found using Most Recent Visit similar and useful:

1) Select History->Show All History (CTRL+SHIFT+H).

2) Select Views->Show Columns->Most Recent Visit.

3) Sort on descending Most Recent Visit and scroll down until the desired date is found.

Thanks for your help.

I found that using the Most Recent Visit column in the History (Library) was okay for what I needed to do. It is good that history extensions exist but I can't justify installing a separate extension specifically for history management right now.

Thanks. Didn't know about Show All History! :oops: You learn something new everyday. I've not often needed that precision though. But another one for the toolbox.

Your're welcome. It is pretty rare I go into Show All History. Most of the time I just press Ctrl+H and look at the History in the left-hand pane.
