filter for automatic replies

Post by fibrolan »

Hi,

I have set a template for automatic out of office replies and have told Mozilla to run now. Yet it does not want to send out the automatic replies as the emails come in.

What am I missing ?

Robert.

What are the details of the filter set up? That is, what criteria are used in the filter?

Well, for one thing, that filter is not checked as "Enabled", but perhaps you knew that.
Second, the additional conditions are probably not useful. Filters only run automatically for new messages, so testing for "New" and "Isn't"+"Replied" seems redundant. This might not be causing problems but the simpler the filter the less likely to be errors and the easier to "debug" if necessary.

Thanks for the help I removed and I also found that I had a filter set to only rpely to priority set to high. I am not sure how it got in there but I removed it and it now works. Thanks for the help.

You're welcome. Glad to hear that you have it working. Filters can be a real challenge to debug. Sometimes it's easier to delete and recreate.
