Recently I got it on 9gag, but it has also appeared on twitch.

Moving to Firefox Support.

Have you tried starting Firefox in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode
If no improvement using Safe Mode, do you have the same problem if you create a new profile and test it with no extensions or non-default themes installed?

Your image doesn't show, but I'll assume you mean issues like found here? It was fixed for a bit (at least for my computers), but started again around Feb 3rd.

Do, or do not. There is no try.

I'll try sending the image again.
It is not a green bar, the whole video frame is green and purple.

I'll try safe mode later. Thanks.

The url that does not work is http://9gag.com/gag/aYgL07m
It works with my computer at work, which has the same firefox version. At home it does not work with firefox but with chrome.
So I guess it is a combination of browser and GPU.

is that flash or html5 video? i remember FB still working with flash.
try disabling hardware acceleration for flash in firefox -> addons -> plugins -> flash.

or this way:
https://www.macromedia.com/support/docu ... nager.html
(menu on the left to chose)

is installed flash the latest? -> 28.0.0.161

Hmm... I tried safe mode, and the video worked.
Then I switched back and the video still worked!

I don't have any extensions enabled. I have two plugins. OpenH264 video codec and Widewine content.
Firefox still have the same version and I don't see any upgrades recently installed for Windows either.
So maybe did the switching help? I don't know but it works now which is great.

The video I had problems with is not flash but mp4.

Thanks for the help!

I know what's doing this. Leave it as it is for now.

But, if it happens again then - Firefox Menu > Options/Preferences > Uncheck 'Use Hardware Acceleration' (I forget where they've now put that in Firefox, but it used to be under Advanced)

safe-mode disables hardware acceleration (in total) - read my posting above again!

was again not you Frank, but idd safe-mode not only disables for firefox, it disables HWA in general in firefox, that also means flash. the adobe/macromedia site offers a solution only for flash which may be stored in mms.cfg (c:\windows\system32\blabla\macromedia\bla - forgot, i dont use any longer flash)

So this is because of Hardware acceleration?

Sort of.

Generally any odd graphical glitch on a browser and HA is top of the list of subjects. This was a borderline one where SafeMode was tried (which along with all the other things, disables HA) and the vid was OK, but was also then OK in normal mode. It might well stay OK from now on.

Maybe quote or name who you are referring to in your posts? I always assume that any vague posts immediately after mine are 'talking' to me.
