My favorite search engine is DDG and one day Yahoo deleted all search engines and placed its own as the one and only search engine. How can I block Yahoo them from doing so?

Thanks Dan, I posted my solution here: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... &t=3036873 to eliminate it, but the concern is for future occurrence. In the same post there is also instructions from Grampus regarding Yahoo and the about:config.
