How to disable referer stripping

Post by moequasar »

One specific site does not work anymore in Firefox private mode.
Instead of loading images it is only loading a placeholder image and it seems like
the Referer Path Stripping in Private Browsing https://www.ghacks.net/2018/02/01/firef ... -browsing/ is responsible.
How do I turn it off?

But when searching about:config there is no setting called network.http.referer.userControlPolicy

my bad - and bad article. has been renamed:
https://wiki.mozilla.org/Security/Referrer
https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/doc ... rer-Policy
network.http.referer.userControlPolicy.
From version 59 onwards (See #587523), this has been replaced by
network.http.referer.defaultPolicy (normal mode)
and
network.http.referer.defaultPolicy.pbmode (pb=private browsing mode)
i just did a google query to find this, now you again, better luck next time
