Noticed the 60.0Beta (march 14) on
https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/a ... easenotes/
I see a remark
"The new CSS engine introduced in the Firefox Quantum (57.0) desktop browser is now enabled in Firefox for Android"
and an article on on this engine on:
https://www.xda-developers.com/firefox- ... e-android/
Will this mean that Firefox for Android is going to be as fast as desktop or as fast as Chrome on Android?
Currently, on Android, I am using Chrome: regretfully Firefox is wayyy too slow.
Thanks
Will Firefox v60 for Android be as fast as for desktop?

They are working on a variety of speed improvements for Firefox on Android.

Thanks!
I really, really hope they will improve the speed of their Android version.
The slow Android FF forced me to using Chrome (I wish to use the same browser on Android and desktop, so they can sync)
Every now and then I am checking news on FF.
Thanks again.

Re: Will Firefox v60 for Android be as fast as for desktop?
My phone has just updated to 60.0 today. I have to say that it seems a bit faster for me and less jerky. I do have a low-end phone (Moto E2), so it's not the best phone to get speed from a browser, but it was usable. However, with Firefox for Android 60.0, it does seem noticeably faster for me when rendering a page.
