Hmm the writer is calling the Firefox 60.0 Release on May 9th as a Beta as the Beta channel at that point will have 61.0b# on it.
The Firefox 60.0 Release is the version the new current ESR will be based on (52.9.0esr will be last on June 26) as the above comment may make some people think Firefox 60.0 will be ESR only. The article on Neowin could have been better. Also https://gizmodo.com/how-to-stop-mozilla-from-sticking-ads-in-your-firefox-b-1825654432 i have found that to be the case with Neowin, there not great when it comes to getting or writing correct stories.

Not likely. Mozilla restarted the deal with Google, plus its not the only search deal just the main one. The jury is still out on the marketshare thing. Latest: Firefox/65.0.1 *ESR/60.5.1 - Mobile/65.0.1 - Thunderbird/60.5.1
Nightly: Nightly/67.0a1 - Mobile/67.0a1 - Daily/67.0a1 Yes, it will be interesting to see where the marketshare part goes.
