Add-ons
I am attempting to find seamonkey compatible add-ons but every time I go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/seamonkey/ and do a search for what I need, I get the whole Firefox list where few compatible add-ons work but all 700+ of them are listed. How do I get a concise list of addons that work with seamonkey -- including older versions that work when newer version have been broken?
And if an add-on is on my disk, how do I load it? The instructions about the extension directory doesn't work.

Re: Add-ons
Searching for NoScript (for example) from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/seamonkey/ my results show only SeaMonkey extensions.
Menu path Tools->Add-ons Manager (or Ctrl+Shiift+A) then click on the Gear icon and select "Install add-on from file".And if an add-on is on my disk, how do I load it? The instructions about the extension directory doesn't work.

Re: Add-ons
Typing "NoScript" for me lists 18 add-ons, only 9 of which are SeaMonkey.
There is no "gear icon" anywhere on my page
Opening the file states the file is corrupt.
So Snap-Links-Plus, which worked in SM-2.49.1 no longer works in SM-2.49.3
Is there any addon that allows us to open multiple links?

Re: Add-ons
Install this extension in your SeaMonkey, then search for extensions.
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/seamon ... seamonkey/
The gear icon is on the Add-ons Manager page just to the left of the search bar when you select the Extensions tab under Get Add-ons.

Re: Add-ons
The AMO site sucks, overall, IMHO.Typing "NoScript" for me lists 18 add-ons, only 9 of which are SeaMonkey.
AMO couldn't give two craps about SeaMonkey, actually, anything that is not "Firefox".
You can never rely on being presented with accurate information on AMO.
Even a search for "noscript" - turns up ZERO - on my end, because (I think its something like) AMO, in its "wizdom" (yes, 'z', for zilch) "see's" that you (I) have NoScript installed, so doesn't even display it when I search for it on their site. Like how utterly ridiculous is that.
The best you can do is see what they may offer & take your chances from there.

Re: Add-ons
I was just going to start a thread on this subject.
When I installed SeaMonkey, the default home/welcome page has a link for 'add-ons', but that link takes you to FF's add-ons not SM's and none seem to work. It's the wrong link!

Browsers that don't have a conventional horizontal Menu bar (where it's been for 25 years) are poorly designed. Period. Stop 'fixing' something that isn't broke!

Re: Add-ons
It's the correct link since SeaMonkey is essentially Firefox internally. SeaMonkey doesn't have specific add-ons that I know of.

Re: Add-ons
No it's not, the link above (Dan's post) here is the correct site.
All I see is a FF icon, not SM in that site. Two different sites.

You should be redirected to
https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/seamonkey/
Some important add-ons like Noscirpt and uBlock are no longer hosted there.
Get them from:

Re: Add-ons
Using SM 2.49.4 on Ubuntu 18.04 I am not redirected.
I am sent to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/seamonkey/ where I see the message.

I'm glad you stated "should". I wasn't., but it doesn't change the fact the link is wrong!frg wrote:You should be redirected to

Re: Add-ons
Simple solution is to go to https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/seamonkey/ and bookmark the site.
I'm sure the problem will be resolved with the next version of SeaMonkey.
