Seamonkey 2.49.2 Themes

Post by cpcnw »

I am currently using the mail client of Seamonkey, mostly on Winblows and sometimes on Linux.

I only use ever Seamonkey for the mail client. I cant find anything else [and I tried hard] that is a sensible client, plays well with IMAP and with a trad UI [unless you know of one I don't?]

After the recent update the Firefox theme is no longer compatible so defaulted back to the standard SM theme.

Will any of the themes here ever be ported over to the new version?

You would need to ask the theme authors.

Just which theme are you speaking of?
And is this an update to the theme or SeaMonkey?
If the latter, which version of SeaMonkey were you running prior?
Fire 750, bring back 250.

This theme is marked as "Works with SeaMonkey 2.46 - 2.49"

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/seamon ... -for-seam/

The Firefox 3 theme is not compatible.

If the problem is with Composer for mail and newsgroups, I found a way to patch all the themes that I use in SeaMonkey. I extracted from the default theme's Messanger folder the file "messageQuotes.css". After adding that file to Messenger in all the themes, I found that they all worked.

Where did somebody who wrote a review of Classic Firefox theme for SeaMonkey get version 0.0.22? The latest one listed on the addons site is 0.0.20.

Thanks. I shall try it out.

I tried it, but the colours were not right. Maybe that version is for SeaMonkey Portable only.

All of those links say

This add-on is not compatible with your version of SeaMonkey.

Odd question, as at least 6 of them already are compatible with the latest versions.

OK some of them are compatible - but not ones that I like - and most of the 'complete' themes arent [or SM says that they arent!]

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/seamon ... seamonkey/

That actually worked - ta!

Spoke too soon - tried the add on you quoted with the Firefox theme and now on a new message my sig doesn't appear nor does my font choice get used :(

Back on the default theme and both are back!

Giving up on this I think!

FWIW: I am sporting the uber-kewl FF3 theme in SM. I just used the Addon Converter.
