Firefox ESR 60.0?

I'm using Firefox ESR 52.8.0, but I'm curious about what Firefox ESR 60.0 is about.
Why make an ESR for the Current Firefox version (I'm assuming that's what it is)? How do they differ? The current ESR will be based on the Firefox 60.0 Release just as the Firefox 52 ESR was based on the Firefox 52.0 Release. Firefox 52.8.0esr is current for 52 ESR and 52.9.0esr out on June 26 (along with 60.1.0esr) will be the last major update apart from any minor updates for security and allowed stability fixes for the old 52 ESR.
Firefox 52 ESR was useful for Enterprise users, for those who needed to use some other NPAPI Plugins besides Flash Player and for those who had say Windows XP or Vista as 53.0 and later does not support XP/Vista. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/end-support-windows-xp-and-vista Firefox 60 ESR will probably be more focused on Enterprise users now as Mozilla even started a new Enterprise section at SUMO for Enterprise users using 60.0 ESR. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions ESR 60 is "Quantum", which means that XUL ("legacy") extensions will no longer work.
(For many, outside of the "enterprise" realm, the reason they use 52 ESR is so that their "legacy" extensions work.) Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.19) Gecko/20110420 SeaMonkey/2.0.14 Pinball CopyURL+ FetchTextURL FlashGot NoScript
Sort of mistaken.

The security fixes are not mentioned in the releasenotes. https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/security/ ... efox60.0.2 Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.19) Gecko/20110420 SeaMonkey/2.0.14 Pinball CopyURL+ FetchTextURL FlashGot NoScript
