Extension to automize "Minimize Memory Usage"

Hey guys.

So, uh, I'm a Firefox user with Windows 7 x64 HP with 6GB of RAM. And, with uBlock Origin, Firefox LOVES to take at least 2GB of my RAM.
What I found, is that going to about:memory and click "Minimize Memory Usage" helps tremendously regaining some RAM back.
So, is there an extension to automize that action every period of time?

2gig is regular, no panic to screw it.
futher - any tools or extensions are fake. memory dont disappear, it is swapped elsewhere and reloaded when needed.

Everything is fine otherwise.
I just calculated. 2.63GB of RAM in 8 processes with 9 tabs opened (1 is YT).

I'll make one thing clear: I will NOT reset my firefox in any shape or form. There's way waaaaay too much customization going on and I certainly don't want to start that over. nopenopenopenopenope

Calling About:Memory fake heh. How is it fake when it's built in? And no, it's not fake. I've seen as much as 10-15% RAM usage drop just by clicking "Minimize Memory Usage".

I know for a fact that ANY adblocking will take up RAM.

Also, I'm unable to watch Twitch because of high CPU usage when watching the stream (20% CPU usage).

So, I NEED my addons to watch Twitch.

memory is -> RAM
about:memory is showing firefox memory usage, which page, extension or whatever firefox is holding in memory -> in RAM

FAKE means FAKE. memory as RAM is swapped to HDD and back in most times - that means fake.
swapping memory means using/wasting cpu-power to push data always between ram and hdd.
and as i stated 2gig is normal

I would hope that "Legacy" extensions would not be having any affect at all.
And that said, there is nothing to say that a "webextension" has to be efficient.
And even if it is efficient, it uses memory.

uBlock, an extension to block ads - yes, uses memory.
Perhaps 200 KB (don't really know).
And if it does, is that additional 200 KB offset by the additional memory that would otherwise be eaten by ads & other such nonsense.
I would think most would say, yes, that is an acceptable trade-off.


2 GB, for a "normal" user, I would think to be on the high side.
But that also depends on the user, where they are browsing, their browsing habits.
So it could also be normal - for that user.
(That is normal for me, most times, & would be low for me, most times.)

Guess what? I created a new profile and it did ABSOLUTELY nothing.
I just did a memory dump just now. I went from 85% memory used to... ~50%. And Firefox is the only memory hungry software running. The only "memory" hungry addon I'm using is uBlock Origin.

The issue here is that firefox is unable to get rid of the data it does not use anymore.
Dumping RAM to disc might not be an actual solution, but damn it's a good pill for those software I'd like to run (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, a game...) that'd love the RAM.

So, I'm still looking for that addon that would do just that.
