Outdated Seamonkey...Can't use with Paypal
Is there an update in the works for Seamonkey? I really do not want to give it up.
Thanks,
Cheryl

SM 2.49.3 is using the same Gecko as Firefox 52 ESR so it is not outdated and should be able to sign in on https://www.paypal.com/ as I can even on SeaMonkey 2.46

Thanks James....oddly I was getting that message, until I signed in with Chrome. o.O
But I think the real issue is Paypal has changed their terms so they must've done something for that msg to appear as I just signed into Paypal yesterday but today I could not.

What is the actual text of the error message from PayPal?
Have you tried "spoofing" the user agent string in SeaMonkey? http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... #p14803608

^^ We shouldn't have to keep doing that on all these sites. There are quite a few now that cause the same issue. Somebody at Mozilla needs to start contacting these other sites and dealing with this issue before it really gets out of hand.

Why, because it's so much work to change the UA string? Keep in mind that it's not Mozilla maintaining SeaMonkey but a group of volunteers.

Yes and everyone should donate to keep Seamonkey as an option!

I can sign into PayPal today, as I predicted, without any problem or message.hayley3 wrote:Thanks James....oddly I was getting that message, until I signed in with Chrome. o.O

While we are on the subject, why can't I use Netflix with Seamonkey?
Also my Amazon credit card doesn't allow using Seamonkey, it says this:
"Please update your browser.
Please update your browser now to help protect your accounts and give you a better experience on our site. See your browser choices". And then the sign-in disappears.

Same here, I got the warning several times several weeks ago, but I just bought a item on eBay (paid with paypal) and checked out with no problems. Also, no problem logging in to Paypal Account.Frank Lion wrote: I can sign into PayPal today, as I predicted, without any problem or message.

Interesting...it says I need HTML5 and Silverlight. I thought HTML5 was included in Seamonkey and I downloaded and installed the latest Silverlight

Does Silverlight show up in Addons Manager & is it enabled?
Oh, & does Netflix require DRM?
