Uploading Videos To YouTube

Post by Infernoflower1 »

Hello, I'm trying to upload videos to YouTube in Firefox, but it gets stuck on "Loading..." whenever I try to do so. I've tried disabling my add-ons and that hasn't worked. I also don't encounter this problem in other browsers, so how can I fix this?

Have you tried starting the program in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode (which does more than just disable installed extensions)
Do you have the same problem if you create a new profile and test it with no extensions or non-default themes installed?

I did start it in Safe Mode by clicking "Start In Safe Mode" and the problem happened. But maybe I'll try creating a new profile and also try using those links or restarting my computer. Thank you. Maybe I'll also try starting it in Safe Mode again. But what can I do if I have trouble logging back in if I start a new profile, and what if I forget my password?

Hello, I've tried starting a new profile, and the problem goes away. But what in my profile do you think is causing the problem, and how can I fix it?

I don't have any idea what settings change in the old profile might be involved or if it was a matter of changes made by an extension that were not reversed when the extension was disabled.

You can move data (passwords, bookmarks, etc) from the old profile to the new. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Transferring_ ... _-_Firefox

By the way, my add-on icons aren't appearing next to my add-on descriptions now. I've tried restarting in Safe Mode and that hasn't fixed the problem. Do you think starting another profile will fix that too? Also, whenever I start a new profile, I get an error saying Firefox was having trouble restoring my old tabs and I can't get them back. What can I do about this? Also, should I transfer my userstyles that I installed in Stylus if I have a lot of them?

Are you transferring files to that new profile after creating it? If not, check the selected option under menu path Tools->Options->General. If "Restore Previous Session" is selected it's just that the new profile has no previous Session to restore. Unselect that and browse for a time. Close Firefox (menu path File->Exit or press CTRL+Shift+Q) and then restart the browser. If you wish you can then use menu path Tools->Options->General and select the option to "Restore Previous Session" so that Firefox will start up with the same windows as tabs as you had when it was last shut down.

Thank you for your help. By the way, where in my profile are my user styles installed? Also, this happens before I transfer things over from the old profile.

By the way, how can I transfer my tabs over to another profile? I've tried copying places.sqlite and favicons.sqlite over and I can't get the tabs from my other profile back. Also, I've checked under "General" and "Restore Previous Session" is ticked. Also, the add-on icons display again when I create a new profile. How can I fix the problem and transfer tabs from one profile to another?

I've managed to transfer my previous tabs over to my other profile, but, for some reason, the search bar is missing in my new profile. How can I view it?

UPDATE: Never mind, I managed to view the search bar by going to Options>Preferences, then going to "Search" and selecting "Add search bar in toolbar".

By the way, how can I reduce the size of the spaces in the top toolbar?

Hello, I've waited 11 days and still haven't had a reply. How can I reduce the space in the Firefox toolbar? Here are some images for proof. Here's how the toolbar looks in the default Firefox profile:

And here's how it looks in my other profile:

Try right clicking on a blank spot on that toolbar and then on the "Density" button at the bottom. You may find "Compact" to be what you want.
