Is there some way to turn off this useless message?
I cannot change the fact that
http://forums.mozillazine.org/
is not a secure site so why not let me turn it off?
I have disabled all add-ons and still it survives, so gotta be as FFx "feature."

Re: This connection is not secure
It's not just Firefox, there's been a turn of events where some sectors believe http has become insecure hence the warning.
Guessing but eventually http may be done away with in favor of https and you won't see the message.
Nothing shows in about:config, at least not literally for a way to discontinue the warning, might need created CSS code.
Did you search the forums, there's been similar comments.

Doesn't matter what you say, it's wrong for a toaster to walk around the house and talk to you

Using the way SM does it, I'd try -
about:config > New Boolean > security.warn_submit_insecure and set to false.
about:config > New Boolean > security.warn_submit_insecure and set to false.

Kinda ironic isn't it that it **is** Mozilla's Firefox site triggering the warning about Mozilla Firefox site not being trustworthy.
Oh, well, back to Palemoon, rather the devil I know ...

It might be, if this were a "Mozilla" site. I'm sure you recall that this forum is not run by or formally associated with Mozilla. We're an independent user-helping-user community.

Just to be certain you know, the *.mozillaZine.org site is not a part of nor run by Mozilla as it is independent. Mozilla has their own support forum at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/GudgeonPin wrote:Kinda ironic isn't it that it **is** Mozilla's Firefox site triggering the warning about Mozilla Firefox site not being trustworthy.

Thanks, ironically it is ever only this site that it does this. Is mozillaZine the only unsafe place on the Planet?makaiguy wrote:http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... #p14798436

Security is not based on ssl, you have to improve your view to this.

Re: This connection is not secure
Do you mean the drop-down on the login form warning you that your username and password are being sent in the clear? There is an about:config setting for that, if that's what you mean, but it's global and not site-specific.
(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter/Return. Click the button promising to be careful or accepting the risk.
(2) In the search box above the list, type or paste field and pause while the list is filtered
(3) Double-click the security.insecure_field_warning.contextual.enabled preference to switch the value from true to false
(4) Pray no one is listening
