Your best bet would be to try converting version 0.1.60. I don't think anything newer would work.

Many thanks for your reply.

I tried v 0.1.60 and it installed but did not work. There was no icon adjacent to the address bar (like FF) to log into the service.

Unless there is an easy fix, I would put this in the 'did not work' catergory.

Shame as it looked like a nice extension.

Since version 4.0, Firefox has used a dramatically different system for tabs than the one used in SeaMonkey. It may be possible that an ancient version of Tree Style Tabs... one from Firefox 3.x era might work... but it may have conflicts with other changes since then.

Someone needs to learn how to write an install.rdf. That is not going to install into SM using 2.49.* as a min-version, because it isn't a recognised version. The way the max-version has been done (just *) is *Sigh*

Use this in install.rdf instead -

Code: Select all

    <em:targetApplication>
      <Description>
 <!-- Seamonkey -->
      <em:id>{92650c4d-4b8e-4d2a-b7eb-24ecf4f6b63a}</em:id>
        <em:minVersion>2.49a1</em:minVersion>
        <em:maxVersion>2.57</em:maxVersion>
      </Description>
    </em:targetApplication>

*Sigh* indeed; but somehow it did install here, and seems to work. Maybe its bootstrap.js was enough; or maybe it's because I have extensions.checkCompatibility.nightly and extensions.checkCompatibility.2.53 both defined as type Boolean and value false in about:config.
Best regards,

Reckon it's failing on the min-version for sure. You really do have to use one of the Addons site's compatibility version numbers, otherwise they just bounce. As that one did.

There's a list in the Dev Control Panel somewhere. I just click the compat box on any of my stuff and a dropdown list appears.

FWIW every single one of us has messed up min/max versions in our time (mistake is to think logically, you just follow their list instead) but they bounce on submission for review. Never seen one actually make to being listed.

I noticed you've got the GrabMyBooks extension, but not the two ePub Reader extensions. Pretty Sure I had all three working. I'm going to dig around and play with your converter for a bit and report back. :)

If I recall (IF, it's been more than a few years), you can inject a setting somewhere to disable it's menu appearing in the Mail Messenger window(s).

Current version of Google Translator has new FF 57x versions. I had to copy and paste this link in to your conversion window to process it:

The dev for Color Transform posted a SM version.. BUT the toolbar icon is missing / transparent / ???

It seems to function as expected none-the-less, though. ^^

This matched pair of tools works with your converter: :D
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/down ... -sm+fx.xpi
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/down ... .15-fx.xpi

Also, I noticed that you have scrapbook, but not the scrapbook extensions I listed above. ;)

I noticed that you have Web of Trust listed.. they got busted for data mining people like two years ago. I wouldn't use their service anymore if I were you.

EDIT: There are a few on your list that I think I can play with and get to work. I also have a few that I think your converter might fix. I'll mess with it more tomorrow. :)

Thank you VERY VERY MUCH for an incredibly useful utility! =D>

A working GreaseMonkey. ..well, it installs and I can see the tab in the Add-ons manager. I haven't installed any user scripts yet. ;)

The top link is for xSidebar add-ons. ;)

EDIT2: Found a MUCH newer working Greasemonkey here:

Anyone ever get the Open in IE addon to work with SM? It works ok with FF 63.0.1 after installing the patch from GitHub. I can't even find the .xpi file to download or provide a direct link to it.

This is the page that keeps getting returned on a Google search and where I downloaded it for Firefox:

You won't, it's a web extension. Note this: Web Extensions DO NOT work with SM.

I have a good extension that does the job in SM, when I'm back on the right machine, I'll post the details.
