Re: Magic Actions for Youtube
That extension hasn't been updated in two years. It's likely that something in recent updates to Firefox has resulted in incompatibilities.
Have you tried contacting the author through the extension's support site? https://www.mycinema.pro/support.html

Mozilla FF has not been updated on my computer because I disabled the files which allows it to update; Magic Actions works on Microsoft Edge. Google Chrome, Opera and Vivaldi Browsers; however it will not work on Mozilla FF nor will it work on Mozilla Quantum

If you are referring to the extension for Firefox ( https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... r-youtube/ ) it was last updated in 2016, one year before version 56 of Firefox was released. I still suggest you contact the author of the extension.

If you can't get it to work, I suggest you try Enhancer for YouTube. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... r-youtube/ It appears it will fulfill at least most of, if not all of the same features, and will work with Quantum if you decide to update to it.
I use it and it works great! I removed several scripts, programs and styles (using Stylus) I had installed for YouTube in place of it.
You can also check out this thread I commented on some days ago. Scroll to my second post. It touches on one of the features of Enhancer for YouTube. http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... 5&start=15

btw the correct abbreviation for firefox is Fx - thats how Mozilla used to use it.
it was last updated in 2016, one year before version 56 of Firefox was released.
quite funny - you were updating from another very old and vulnerable firefox build to another old and vulnerable build - and moan about a silly extension which is neither nor operable on youtube.Magic Actions was working in Mozilla FF until 10 days ago
i dont really like waterfox but using v56 then waterfox is THE ONLY current solution for legacy extensions which will disappear in near future : THIS year.
to notice - we are interessted in security, for us and you as your system is high vulnerable using old firefox builds.
the magic number is 51 and you are probably part of it

Re: Magic Actions for Youtube
my system (a new $5500 HP Work Station) is not vulnerable at all ; I keep it maintained daily with the finest antivirus, firewall, malware and ransomtware in the world; I see posts on this site from folks who are using FF versions 35.0 thru FF versions in the 40's all the time! Magic Actions (not old software) also does not work with Firefox Quantum 61.0.2 ! Magic Actions works with every updated browser on my computer (and I have 6) except Mozilla Firefox and FF Quantum !
you really cannot educate me about Firefox; I've been using Firefox since Version FF 2.0

Hmmm...Have you read the Privacy Policy for that 'Very Powerful' POC extension and wondered why the Fx version's dead?you really cannot educate me about Firefox
Their home site looks like any click could lead to GRU surveillance and a quick search reveals old Vlad and Serge appear to be well known scam merchants.

Re: Magic Actions for Youtube
this issue has been resolved; I edited the CSS file for Youtube and rolled it back to the OLD Youtube Version; there are no more issues with Magic Actions for FF
