Not seeing that here. What version of TB are you using now?

A lot of Thunderbird add-ons haven't been maintained for years and this makes them very vulnerable to changes in the Thunderbird API. Some of these are caused by the Mozilla toolkit deprecating features that Firefox no longer needs after they switched to the WebExtensions API, others due to the Thunderbird developers attempts to get rid of technical dept (poor design choices that make it harder to change anything and/or add new major features). It's going to get worse before it gets better as they don't have a clear add-on API roadmap yet.

If you are using version 60 see http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic ... &t=3041270

As far as I know, Thunderbird gets its add ons from third party developers which update their add-ons with the recent version. Mozilla does not develop them thus there could be some gap. As Tanstaafl said, most add-ons are not updated since versions. I believe the most necessary ones are still working. Are you sure, you have not downloaded the Beta version which is 3-4 versions ahead of the stable one?

The loss of ABCTajpu is pretty severe for me. It was the only add-on I really used. There is no useful way to get to foreign characters or Unicode now. Firefox 60 also wiped my archives and address books.

The zombie keys add-on at https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/th ... mbie-keys/ supports version 60. You can also enter characters using the strike-over feature using the US International keyboard. See "Typing international characters" in http://kb.mozillazine.org/International_characters
