won't add an addon

It's the printing tools add-in: It supposedly adds & installs but is never in the add-on list.

Where are you trying to get the extension from?
What version of Thunderbird are you running now?

Installed OK for me. And shows in addons after restart

Works for me. I enabled the add-on's options to add the received date and to set a border around the headers. Both showed up in a print preview .
