Colored Folders no longer enabled
To my horror, I checked my TB file folders this morning and found all my careful color-coding had disappeared. I have 32 folders and many sub-folders, all color-coded to help me with my email message filing by topic.
It appears that TB has been updated to v60 and the color-folder add-on (which worked perfectly yesterday), is now disabled.
I would pay to be able to color-code my folders. Can anybody recommend a similar add-on which is compatible with 60, and will allow me to once again, color-code my folders. As mentioned, I would be very happy to pay for such a utility.
Dave.

SOLVED - many thanks "wsmwk." All is OK now. My folder colors returned after installing the latest version of the add-on. Cheers. Dave

Re: Colored Folders no longer enabled
Following up on this thread. I found in the Add-on Reviews these instructions:
How to fix the addon for TB 60:
1. Download color_folders-1.1-tb.xpi.
2. Rename it to color_folders-1.1-tb.zip.
3. Unpack.
4. Open chrome/colorfolders.js and replace
"for each (var folder in folders) {"
with
"for (let folder of folders) {"
in lines 70 and 93.
5. in /install.rdf set max version to 100.*:
"<em:maxVersion>100.*</em:maxVersion>"
6. Zip the sources back to color_folders-1.1-tb.zip.
7. Rename to color_folders-1.1-tb.xpi.
8. Install it to TB.
9. Enjoy!
If the above instructions are followed, will this add-on work for TB Ver 60.2.1 (32-bit)?
If not, is there another folder-coloring add-on that does work?
Thanks!

Re: Colored Folders no longer enabled
I can answer my own question (as of now, yet unposted... apparently not yet approved by the moderator):
Yes, if the above procedure is completed on the Add-on files, it does appear to work correctly for Thunderbird Version 60.2.1 (32-bit).

If the current author of the add-on isn't willing to update it, perhaps someone here could fork it and publish an approved version for the add-ons site.

As so sad when this disappeared and so happy when the fix was posted.
Installed correctly, restarted TB and the addon and colours menu appear - BUT just wont apply to the folders.
Any ideas? Thank to all in advance.

@spinthepilot
The hacked extension works fine for me.
I tested with a few folders in Local Folders. The folder colors are still applied after restarting.
There may be a conflict with another extension. Try disabling all extensions except the Color Folders extension, then restart.
Color Folders 1.1 (hacked)
Thunderbird 60.3.0
Windows 7 SP1 32-bit
