Viewing images in mails

Post by shakushinnen »

Hi all,
It's been a while. SeaMonkey is running very well.
Occasionally I receive a mail in which the images do not show. I can see them in the attachments list, and open them; but I'd like to view them in the body of the mail. I do not have images blocked in the mail preferences. I am using IMAP.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
..... john

In the email window, try menu path View->Display attachments inline.

Hi Dan,
Yes. I have that checked. What I see are squares with long long names, which are jpgs. When I click on the name in the attachment window, I get the image, and the address window shows (for example) ....
imap://mail.yahoo.com:993/fetch%3EUID%3E/INBOX%3E345111?part=1.3filename=eobiihbgedldpnep2.jpg
When I plug this into my search engine I get something about Thunderbird having trouble opening these.
I hope this means something to you. I normally see pictures in most mails.
Thanks,
...... john
