How to disable update checks on Firefox Developer?

Thanks, Frank, indeed I forgot the update.channel pref, I'll see how it works but for now it seems to do the trick - the About Firefox window says I'm on an 'xaurorax' channel and there are no updates. Sweet. The only problem is that I can't update on demand, I'll have to change the pref temporarily to the original value and then switch it back, or download a full installer.
