Updating

Post by alpine5536 »

When I opened T-Bird 52.9.1 this morning, all my extensions came up and wanted to reinstall. They ask for permission and displayed a continue button. I don't want to update and lose my extensions. Addon.update.enabled is already set to false. After exiting out of each one, my toolbar and user interface was completely messed up. I had to revert to a backup profile to get back to normal. I also have my extensions set to not update. Anyone know what may be causing this ?

Was it trying to just update your extensions, or was it wanting to update both Thunderbird and your add-ons?

Just the extensions.

No idea. Sort of sounds like it got confused what version it was running.

Look at your update history in tools -> options -> advanced -> updates as a sanity check to confirm that it didn't try to update itself enough though you saw no sign of it doing that.

Checked and nothing in update history, may have just been a fluke. Will let it go for a while and see if it repeats.
Thanks for the reply.
