FF is slow???

Post by henry9x9 »

Since I installed the latest update, Firefox is slow accessing web pages. Chrome is quick as ever. Unless this is a known problem and there's a plan to fix it I must switch to Chrome.

Do you get the same behavior in safe mode?

What about if you create a new user profile to test with?

On Windows there are no significant known problems with speed. However most antivirus software have a web shield / man in the middle component which makes trouble. If you use an antivirus other than Windows Defender, as a test, get Firefox to bypass its web shield or disable the web shield. For some antivirus software this page tells how to change the settings: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/er ... OWN_ISSUER
