Hi,
When I click on any of the links in my Instagram notification mails, I get the "Unknown Protocol" message. I've also tried pasting the link address into SeaMonkey, with the same result. Here's an example of the link addresses https://instagram.com/_n/mainfeed?targe ... 9e24b6G34b
Any help is appreciated.

P.S. Firefox says, "The address wasn't understood", on pasting.

Hi Dave,
Well, that's interesting. I'm not sure what to say.

Hello John,
Neither am I! You could try updating to the latest SeaMonkey version 2.49.4 and see if that helps.
Regards,
Dave.

Yes. Why not. I'm using 2.49.2 now. I'll let you know what happens.

- Did you read the SeaMonkey 2.49.4 release notes ??

Cheers!!

Re: Unknown Protocol from SeaMonkey mail links
Hi ElTxolo,
No, I didn't read the release notes. I just used the 'check for updates' option, and it said no updates.
Thanks. I thought that the updates option was the final word.
I installed 2.49.4, but am still getting the same message "Unknown Protocol". It's odd though; the message appears, just after the page I want flashes on, then off.

Re: Unknown Protocol from SeaMonkey mail links
Hello John,
Try running SeaMonkey in safe mode and see if that helps, if not, try creating a new, clean profile, with default settings and no extensions or add-ons and see if that helps. Back up your existing profile as a precaution!
Regards,
Dave.

Re: Unknown Protocol from SeaMonkey mail links
Hi Dave,
I tried running in safe mode, and the same thing happens. I'm not going to go the new profile route. It's not worth the trouble.
Thanks,
...... john
P.S. I cleared my private data, and then got the following message, when using the link.
"Sorry, this page isn't available.
The link you followed may be broken, or the page may have been removed. Go back to Instagram."
[Go back to Instagram is a link to the login page. So that's partial win.]
