Pasting video

When I paste a video link from youtube to a forum the video doesn't preview in the reply, all that is there is the copied web address which you have to then copy and paste in address bar to watch, video isn't downloaded to forum like in Chrome or Edge, why?

The link seems normal for a BBCode site. Was that pasted with Firefox, Chrome, or Edge?

(Oh, I guess some forums automatically parse "youtube" links, automatically embedding the "video" into the forum page itself. That must be what was going on, & for whatever reason the particular link, as posted, wasn't correctly recognized, & so simply displayed as a "link".)
