I installed seamonkey because I thought its mail client was same as thunderbird. I already use Thunderbird for a specific group of email accounts, but need a separate mail client to handle other accounts, hence seamonkey.
With thunderbird, any new webmail accounts (yahoo, gmail, hotmail, outlook, etc) are setup automatically when you enter the email address. With seamonkey, it asks for POP, IMAP, server ports, etc. Why doesnt it handle these automatically like thunderbird? So I am supposed to google for all the details, parameters of various email accounts???

Re: Setup of email accounts
Or, if the accounts are with the same providers, copy the details from Thunderbird. If they are not with the same providers, you should be able to identify those values on the support pages of the provider. So I am supposed to google for all the details, parameters of various email accounts???
If you want to use Thunderbird for the new accounts, you could create a separate profile which would separate the accounts but allow you to continue to use Thunderbird -- http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Manager
