So...is there any known way to customize the functionality of Ctrl+Enter?

It's driving me crazy that this shortcut doesn't do what it does on *every other web browser*.

You can open (described above) both "search" and "www./.com" output in new tab with Ctrl+Enter.

Gut instinct is no.
As with many parts of the interface, Seamonkey preserves the older usage over changing it out for the new behavior.

Personally, I've always thought the new ctrl-enter behavior Firefox introduced was weird, unintuitive, and discarded a useful feature in favor of a silly gimmick. I was disappointed when everyone else copied it.
