Clicking the cross to close a tab closes more than one tab?

Post by Dirki »

When I want to close a single tab and I click the cross sometimes more than that single tab are closed, e.g. all of the right ones. Why does it happen and how could I avoid it?

Hi,
Maybe a sticky/faulty mouse button? Those little micro switches do not last forever.
Try another mouse?
You can use the wheel button to close a tab if you have the cursor on that tab.

Hello!

Hmmm, actually the mouse seems to work like usual (else). Besides of some clicks not being processed obviously. Yes, may be. Will try another one...but...wait...I click on the cross of a single tab and about 5, 6 others close in addition? Caused by the mouse? Hmmm, well, I will try another one anyway.

Ah yes, the wheel, didn't know, will be more convenient (if it would not be so hard to press).

Many thanks!

FWIW...
The tiny micro switches have a limited life.
They do not last forever. The contacts are very, very close together
Once they start "playing up" ie; the contacts get worn & you start to get double or multiple bounces,
you either have to replace them or use a new mouse.
