Outlook address on SeaMonkey
I purchased a laptop and installed SeaMonkey 2.49.4. I now want to receive email from my Outlook.com email address I established for myself. What do I use for Incoming server name, port and Outgoing server name? Also, thank you for all your help over the 10 years, which I have been on MozillaZine.

Re: Outlook address on SeaMonkey
I made these adjustments, but I received the following error message:
"An error occurred with the POP3 mail server. Mail server imap-mail.outlook.com responded:"
I composed an email and tried to sent it, but received this error message:
"Sending of the message failed. The message could not be sent using Outgoing server (SMTP) smtp-mail.outlook.com for an unknown reason. Please verify that your Outgoing server (SMTP) settings are correct and try again."
What now?

Re: Outlook address on SeaMonkey
Are you entering your full Outlook email address for the user name value in SeaMonkey's server settings?

I tried the full email address, just that portion up to the @ symbol and the user name. All failed.

Re: Outlook address on SeaMonkey
It says that POP is disabled by default, that you have to actually enable it (if using POP).
Have you done that?

Re: Outlook address on SeaMonkey
It was suggested in the first message to us imap. I will try to use the wizard to start all over again.

Re: Outlook address on SeaMonkey
I deleted/removed by the Wizard the previous mailbox in SeaMonkey that was not working. I started a new session and when I finished, SeaMonkey crashed. Never seen that before and the old box remained. Also. Outlook is not accepting my password. Now what to I do?

Re: Outlook address on SeaMonkey
If by that you mean that you can not access your Outlook account using a browser, it indicates that you need to use the web site's links to reset that password. Then completely delete the profile created by the initial installation of SeaMonkey ( http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_SeaMonkey ), after which you can create a new profile and try adding that Outlook account using the newly reset password value.Outlook is not accepting my password. Now what to I do?

Re: Outlook address on SeaMonkey
Try changing that server name to outlook.office365.com.

My thanks to everyone. I have given up on this attempt for now. I will try a new post on using SeaMonkey on the Laptop using the desktop configurations.
