Seamonkey 2.49.4 upgrade, BLANK SLATE, lost all bookmarks and setting.
Can't find "bookmark.html" anywhere.
I turned on my laptop (W10 Home) two days ago, and a new version of Seamonkey had already installed, with no setting or bookmarks--as though it were a new installation. Got window or pop up to install ver 2.49.4, did so, still nothing, just the new Seamonkey screen.
This is a disaster. Can anyone help?
Thanks

The bookmarks file in html that SeaMonkey will create (if you tell it to do that) is bookmarks.html. Note the plural. Normally it makes its backups as json.

SeaMonkey upgrades are broken so it is unlikely that a SeaMonkey update did this.
Probably another Win 10 upgrade desaster. They are rolling out 1809 now. Might have tucked the files away somewhere on your disk if you are lucky.

You may not necessarily have a "bookmarks.html".
(bookmarks.html has not been used in ages [except for perhaps a backup - if you set SeaMonkey to create it].)
Look instead for "places.sqlite".
