Can anyone get Random Agent Spoofer working on SeaMonkey?

Post by tonemgub »

I know there are some tricks to make addons work, but this is a jetpack addon. Is there some API missing from SeaMonkey? Can it be hacked to work? The button never shows up for me even once I get the addon installed with an rdf override. Apparently this was known and the developer never explained why: https://github.com/dillbyrne/random-age ... /issues/43

In other words, it is a web extension, which will not work in SeaMonkey? User Agent Switcher still works. You can get it here:

It's not WebExt, it's JetPack / SDK based. Chamelion hard-forked and re-wrote the entire addon to be WebExt. However, this addon should work and does more than just switch useragents (see list of anti-fingerprinting hacks)
