SM pages shown on task bar

Post by Peter Creasey »

I just upgraded to Windows 10 Home. Before, the SeaMonkey indicators in the task bar always indicated the number of windows open.

With my Windows 10 Home, there are only two indicators -- one for the browser and one for the email processor. The cursor has to be put over the indicators before the number of open SM windows is indicated.

Is there some way to make the task bar reflect the number of SM windows open without moving the cursor there (like it always did before)?

Thanks.

That is controlled by Windows, not by SeaMonkey. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/hel ... he-taskbar

Dan, thanks. However, I don't see anything there that might be a solution.

I'm using Open Shell (port/continuation of Classic Shell) to make Win7 menu and task bar look like classic XP theme (like W98SE/W2k):
https://github.com/Open-Shell/Open-Shell-Menu/releases

Under Win10 it should help too but don't expect big changes (UI modding limitations).

The Windows gurus are telling me that the taskbar display is controlled by the browser. If this is true, then SeaMonkey should be able to have the taskbar in W10 done like W7.

about:config has a few taskbar options.
You might try browser.taskbar.previews.enable

But I would've sworn that Dan had the answer.

Thanks for the suggestion, but that about:config option is already set to TRUE.
