No Sound

Post by wallythekat »

I lost the sound on the internet. Is it a Firefox setting or a computer setting?
thanks

Walt

Sounds like a computer issue. I know nothing about WIN so you likely will have to wait until one reads this thread.

I am referring to the SPEAKER icon in your SYSTEM tray... down near the clock.
That will show you all the audio/sound settings for any program that you have running.

You can turn on or off the volume system icon in the notification area like so.

Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Notification Area Icons > System Icons

You can open the volume mixer by running the following executable.

C:\Windows\System32\SndVol.exe

Wow I got my sound back... This is how I did it:

Control Panel>Sound>Click on Speaker Listing> activates Properties button>click properties>
choose Level>Turn on speakers>

With HDMI I have sound from my laptop to my 40"TV again....Amazing
