If it's related to scrolling, it's probably Bug 1363170 - Performance of scrolling decreases with browsing time.
Except you're talking about recent regression.
It's neither and while I'm not actually sure when the memory leak started, I have a feeling it's related to the performance regressions I've been seeing which started at most 1 1/2 weeks ago. While I had issues with Bug 1386177 in the past, what I'm seeing is occurring without a single video playing. It's also not really Bug 1363170 since the whole main thread seems to be stalling and hanging which doesn't actually affect scrolling but does affect the rendering when scrolling. The biggest hangs seem to happen when switching tabs and even worse, closing them.

Are we unable to Delete entries in the address bar now? As previously I'd just type in a site and then hit "Delete" to remove unneeded entries.

Unsure which build started to not allow for it.

You need to click shift+del. It's a new behaviour from the Quantum Bar (enabled on 05/03).

Weird restart for tonight's update. I had shut down a window running a YouTube video but it kept playing for another two minutes without a window showing for it and the main window showed that the current tab wasn't responding. On the main window I clicked on Menu -> Restart Nightly and one task (I'm guessing the main task) went 35% CPU (so using more than the equivalent of one core of this 4-core processor) for several minutes (long enough to go to the bathroom, then fire up Thunderbird and check my gmail and comcast email accounts, close Thunderbird), and I finally resorted to using the Windows task manager to cancel the Nightly task that was taking 35% CPU, and all Firefox tasks finally shut down, but no restart until I clicked on my shortcut to launch Nightly.

This was on Windows 10 (64-bit), Intel processor, Intel GPU, 12 GB RAM (and Nightly was using about 7-8 GB of that). I didn't catch the build of Nightly on the shutdown, but after the update it is 68.0a1 (2019-05-08) (64-bit) build-id: 20190508215144. Looking at the update history, I was probably running Nightly 68.0a1 (20190508111321) when I had clicked on "Restart Nightly" that instead of relaunching went into a tight CPU loop.

PS: no new crash report shown on the about:crashes screen.

"Windows" ? You mean tabs? If so then it actually happens with any tab interactions, in fact dragging tabs is just as bad as closing in some cases.

@ Are You A Wiiizard? - In my case the hang happens mostly when I close browser window (having other browser windows open).
I suspect that it could be related to relanded LSNG patches or maybe some Fission work.

I had a YouTube tab running the bulk of the day in one Firefox Nightly window, and several other sites up in other tabs in another Firefox Nightly window. (This allows me to shrink the window running a YouTube video and have it to the side and visible while working with the other tabs in a decent-sized window.)

Anyone else been having problems with obtaining new content from some web sites even though it has changed? One such site is weather.com. Besides the weather condition it reports for a location it also displays the time. The time is a dead give away that the content hasn't changed. It could be an hour later and the time is the same as it was an hour ago. I need to refresh the page for it to update. Sometimes it will update for a second or two and then go back to the older content. It's as if it got the new content from the site and then grabbed the old content from the cache. In order to get things working as they should I have turned off the cache completely. Even setting the pref that says to load content from the site every time I visit it doesn't always work. MS Edge works fine btw. Any thoughts on this is appreciated.
