How to make new tabs open to Google.com
When I click the New Tab icon, I'd like it to open to: https://www.google.com/

I think this can be done most easily with an extension. One extension that lets you pick the new tab page is https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... -override/
However if you like you can put a home page icon on your UI, set it to google and middle click (or ctrl click) it to open it in a new tab.

Re: How to make new tabs open to Google.com
The issue is on neighbors comp, FF 66.0.5 and Win 10 Home. It was that w/e I set the "New tabs" page at, in Tools>Options>Home, it wouldn't have the Google search bar on the Firefox Home (default) setting. I just figured out why.
I had UNchecked "Websearch", under Firefox Home Content. I always remembered that when those settings were still under the gear icon on the Firefox Home page, but when it got moved to the Tools>Options>Home page, I forgot it. :/
Anyway, thanks for the help, that center click thing on the mouse is also good to know.
