Mozilla forum,
I want to enable userChrome.css in Firefix 67.04 but don't know
what flag to change in about:config.
Any suggestions?

What sort of man would put a known criminal in charge of a major branch of government? Apart from, say, the average voter.

Re: Another userChrome.css question
I have installed a known working userChrome.css file from another of my laptops but
I know there is some flag to be set for 67.0.4 to use it.

Re: Another userChrome.css question
From this article it looks like the on/off switch starts in version 69... anyway, read what is in there.

Re: Another userChrome.css question
dfoulkes,
Thanks for the reply. I have read this.
I guess I didn't explain my problem good enough.
I have installed the userChrome.css file in this tablet before and
it worked. I recently had to re-install Windows 10 Home and now the
.css file doesn't work. I couldn't recall if I had to enable some
flag or not.
So now I guess my question is how do I find out why it isn't working.
I have checked that it's in the correct folder:
C:Users/name/AppData/Roaming/Mozilla/Firefox/Profiles/xxxxxx.default/chrome/
userChrome.css
and the file is the correct size and type.
Any suggestions?

Re: Another userChrome.css question
I know that older (from older Firefox version) css coded files won't work on many of the code lines... so, my question is... from what FX version did you make that file copy from? And did you install the whole file? ... or just the code into the new userChrome.css file.jerry_d wrote:I have installed a known working userChrome.css file from another of my laptops but

Unless I missed reading something in your file location... it looks to be where it should be.
And I'll assume that you restarted Firefox after moving that file in? ...

Re: Another userChrome.css question
dfoulkes,
Based on some of your suggestions I checked the properties of the .css file
in the windows 7 system and it is referred to as a "Cascading Style Sheet
Document(.css) but the one in the windows 10 system is referred to as a
TextDocument(.txt) even though it's name is userChrome.css.
So I deleted the windows 10 one and replaced it with the windows 7 one again
but then I opened it and deleted all the contents and cut and pasted the
content from the windows 7 one in ti and saved it. In properties it's a "Cascading
Style Sheet Document" and now works???????
Thanks for the suggestions.
