Sync/Backup multiple Firefox profiles?

Is it possible sync multiple profiles? if so, how?

If not, how can I can backup the profiles and re-import them and still keep everything in tact like History, Tabs, etc

The reason I ask is because I'm about to re-install Windows either tonight or tomorrow and still want to keep my Profiles.

First delete your Cache, its probably much larger than the rest of your profile. Then Copy your profile to a flash drive and then transfer to the new Firefox installation. If you have more than one profile that you use then repeat for each.

Yes you can Sync multiple Profiles, with a separate Sync account for each Profile. Problem is that Sync really isn't intended to be used in that manner, its' purpose is to synchronize your data between multiple devices. IMO, you are better off using one of the backup methods mentioned in the two previous postings.

Is there a Mozillazine article explaining sync? I started a sync in one profile, it has somehow synced another profile, I need to delete the wrong synced data and sync the correct data, cannot find any information anywhere!

Also cannot see any button to post a new question???
