Just updated to 68 and now have (again) a drop down search bar whenever I type into the address bar.
I can get rid of the lower part of the bar by removing most of the search engines in Options (it won't let me remove the last one).
I'm still stuck with the blue portion of the drop down search bar.
Anyone know how to get rid of this? Thanks.

Maybe.. Type about:config into address bar > browser.urlbar.maxRichResults > set it to 0 > Restart Fx

Almost does the trick!
The blue bar doesn't appear but a thin grey line does, cutting the top edge off the first tab.
Thanks for your idea, though. It's a start.

You're using the beta, maybe it's different, with that set to 0 I see no drop down at all.

I'm thinking the setting doesn't quite work with my Firefox due to my use of a .css file to change the appearance of the toolbars.
I will have to take a look at it and see if I can tweak it a bit and fix my problem.

Thanks, dickvl
I love this forum. That line added to my .css file did the job perfectly.
