All new mail goes to Junk folder

All new mail goes to Junk folder
Five days ago Thunderbird started sending all new messages to the junk folder instead of the inbox folder. I have seen no new messages that are filtered to go to the junk box appear there in that time period; I have no idea where they are going. I have checked all the settings and they show that new messages should download into the inbox folder. Any suggestions for how to fix this problem?

If the inbox folder is corrupt that can cause your problem. Try moving many of the messages in the inbox to other folders, and then use file -> compact folders.
