Am I correct in thinking that Bug 1568487 kills userChrome.css?

userChrome-example.css

Not that I would know, but I would say, no.
But not to worry, as its time will come ;-).

Could be that what they are removing there (& elsewhere) may cause existing .css code that relies on what they're remove to no longer be functional, so in that respect, by removing code that someones userChrome.css relies upon, they are "removing" the ability to use userChrome.css to affect change.

Question, how do I disable count value recording (11,000 trackers blocked since June 23, 2019) for about:protections?

Why does it bother you? If you are worried about performance the overhead of counting should be much smaller than the actual work to detect and block.

I don't care, but to me, it imparts no meaningful information, so why should it be there - displaying or even counting.
(And the information it does display gives me conflicting data - or I'm not understanding what it is telling me.)

So FF's mantra is fast.
Then they add all this crap in there such that it ends up being, not so fast, but, so long as it's a little bit faster then what was there before, well, then that can still qualify it as being "fast".

Kind of like your computer.
It is fast.
Then you throw in an antivirus, & well, it isn't nearly as fast, but it's faster then the 10 year old box it replaced, so even though you're not getting the speed you've paid for, it's still better then it was, so you're OK with that.

I would not be.

FF is fast.
But ever since FF 67 (profilemania), for users that use Profile Manager, it is slow, 5 seconds slow, for FF to start to open a Profile.
And given that Profile Manager is something they "don't expose ... or consider it primary UI", well fixing it is relegated to - send her back.
FF is slow!
