My "recommended extension as browse" is unchecked but I still have recommends on my addon page, in latest Nightly.

Same here, the Recommended tab is showing again. I'm sure the pref hid it before...

EDIT: I don't see the pref you reference, I have extensions.htmlaboutaddons.recommendations.enabled and its set to 'false' (my change, default is 'true')

If you don't want extension recommendations on the about:addons -> Extensions, set extensions.htmlaboutaddons.recommendations.enabled to False.

Hiding preferences in about:config doesn't seem like good idea, as how user will even know about this that some hidden preference to control this exists somewhere.

What's more, why even show this information in so many places (Extensions and Themes tabs), when it already has its proper section in "Recommendations" tab. I don't see any logical and useful reason for this. For now, it just look like some bloaty spammy adware, nagware, annoyware website pages - like for example this funny joke one "Personal & Business Car Leasing | LINGsCARS" website page ( https://www.lingscars.com/ ) or some scam website page with malware to install this and that and it too after pressing "Download".

@TheVisitor this pref is in Options, look on screen, this suppose to disabled, but flipping Your pref did the trick, hiding this pref isn't good idea :/

Spell checking isn't in the browsing section, it's under language. Just search for spell under about:preferences.

And "Check your spelling as you type" is present for me and it works--misspelled words are identified and suggestions are given.

Sorry, fixed post, since screen was about "suggested addons" not spell checking, and I'm not able to use suggestions since there is no suggestions in latest Nightly, but possible the problem is only on my side.

EDIT: never mind, working again :D
