Undoing an unsuccessful operation

Post by mozurkewich »

Is there a way to undo an operation that did not succeed, so as to recover the message on which the operation failed? I have no idea what operation Tbird attempted, only that it involved an account to which I don't have access and that it resulted in the message disappearing from my Inbox.

I managed to find the lost message on the server. Nevertheless my question stands for future reference.

Whether or not an operation can be undone would depend on the nature of the operation. Any action in which Thunderbird hands off a message to a server would normally not be reversible because it would require the server to reverse the action as well.

Thanks. That makes sense.
