[Solved] Master Password Change?
.
Noticed recently that on launch FF asks for MPW. In the past it only asked initially when going to a site where a login was required.
Did I miss something?

Are you using a Firefox Account? Like for Sync and other Mozilla / Firefox services.

A mind is a terrible thing to waste. Mine has wandered off and I'm out looking for it.

Did you try Safe Mode in case an extension is causing it?

No joy. Disabled all extensions manually and issue remains. Will check when I have time with a blank profile.

Re: Master Password Change?
I understand that. If I don't enter a MPW when I launch FF I will be asked to do so if I go to Saved Logins. However that does not answer the question of why I am asked for my MPW when I launch FF which opens in a blank page.Brummelchen wrote:could it be this one?

Must be something in my profile since it also happens with beta and Nightly which use identical profiles.

Re: Master Password Change?
This was always the case for me. If I have MPW on FF then on every launch of FF I have to enter the password. The popup always shows after a couple of seconds. I thought that was normal. Maybe it is, and you not having it until now was not normal? Got me.
Do, or do not. There is no try.

Have it. Is there a way to uninstall other than simply deleting it from my profile?

Re: Master Password Change?
i think the easiest way is to open profilefolder\extensions and delete it. it wont come back as the issue was fixed with 65.0.4.
