So question Cylance to see if in fact their reason for marking FF as "unsafe" is in fact simply a matter of it being packed with UPX?

If I then decompress it (using UPX), getting rid if the UPX packing, it then complains about the 7-zip SFX (self extractor).

I suggest you get something mainstream. Personally, I recently uninstalled BitDefender and now rely upon Windows Defender after Ghacks.net reported earlier this month that "The most recent test on AV-Test, an independent test site for security solutions, awarded Windows Defender Antivirus a perfect score. Microsoft's security program got the perfect score in protection, performance, and usability."

If you're using Cylance because it supposedly does a better job of detecting malware than most anti-virus scanners do, I suggest you consider using MalwareBytes anti-malware , Emsisoft Anti-Malware or Zemana AntiMalware to supplement a mainstream anti-virus scanner.

Defender is very good. Have it on five pc's and it just works. Having had to chisel Viruses of peoples computers over the years using McAfee and Symantec/norton it makes a nice change to have something that basically comes pre-installed and works
