Firefox and BBC website

Post by tinglis »

I have recently discovered an annoying problem that is unique on my PC to Firefox (v. 69.0, Windows 10 1903) and the BBC website. When I click on a link within the BBC website (e.g. to a news report), it doesn't work first time but does second time with no problem (I thought at first that my mouse battery was going). This does not happen with the several other browsers that I have available nor does it happen when I run Linux Mint from an external drive on the same PC nor does it happen at all on my laptop. It has become so annoying that I have abandoned Firefox and only come back occasionally to see if things have improved.

Moving to Firefox Support as no bug has been confirmed here.

I just tried BBC.COM and did not see the reported problem.
Have you tried starting Firefox in Mozilla Safe Mode? http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_mode
If no improvement using Safe Mode, do you have the same problem if you create a new profile and test it with no extensions or non-default themes installed?
