Is it possible to just start the SeaMonkey Composer without starting SeaMonkey itself ?

I don't see the answer there...or maybe I don't understand the "instructions".
Is there an easy, short answer?

Re: Starting Composer by itself
Change the properties of the shortcut you use to launch Thunderbird (or create a duplicate shortcut) with the following:
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe" -edit
That was listed in the link above as "-edit <url> Start with editor"
"C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe" -edit

Use Edit > Preferences > Appearance, remove the check mark for "Browser" and select "Composer".Peter Creasey wrote:I don't see the answer there...or maybe I don't understand the "instructions".

Re: Starting Composer by itself
That works if you ALWAYS want to start SeaMonkey with the Editor. If it is an occasional need, having a separate shortcut with the -edit switch would be more practical.Use Edit > Preferences > Appearance, remove the check mark for "Browser" and select "Composer".

Sorry, I misinterpreted the topic to be asking how to do that.DanRaisch wrote:That works if you ALWAYS want to start SeaMonkey with the Editor. I'd use Geany.
