In my case, everything working extremely slow, especially opening uBlock Orgin and Download Star extensions menus, even it affects some website pages so many images don't load.
Oddly, it works properly in Firefox Portable with new profile.

I reported bug about this - Bug #1589963 - Latest Nightly breaks profile
No problems here.
no problems here either

Nightly version 71.0a1 (2019-10-20) (64-bit) fresh profile in win10 version 1903.
The issue described in Nightly fails to apply update, continually prompts to apply an update occurred to me today:
An update was found, it downloaded and I was offered restarting Nightly to finish the update on a button, I clicked the button, Nightly did restart, after the restart I checked for an update again. There already was a button Restart to update Nightly, which I clicked again. It went on as an infinite loop
i.e. the update never finishes (for reference, the update size is 5.2 MB and there's no entry in about:crashes ).

Did it happen to you too?
'(Firefox for desktop) list fixed bugs in Mercurial' userscript:
as a list: v4.2.2 and, as a sortable table: either v5.5.4 (for all channel users) or v5.5.4 (especially for inbound users).
My other userscripts: GreasyFork OpenUserJS

Today, after windows restart, Nightly was already updated to 2019-10-21
and I got a new prompt to update (~7.5 MB) and it got updated ok to 2019-10-22.

Ugh, this new search icon next to the address bar, why do they keep doing things like this?

That is really weird. Does it do anything different than searching in the main address bar?

Yeah, that' sorta redundant knowing that the Awesome bar does a 'search' by default now days, since for several months now at least.
And... you can't drag it away with 'customize' :(

EDIT: I'm not sure that's not a 'bug'... If you open a new tab or focus the urlbar with say: ctrl+l the seach-glass moves inside the urlbar where it shows when you open a new tab.

If you change your preferences to "Add search bar in toolbar", you can have three different ways to search from the toolbar!

So... finally, that mighty megabar (remind me just why any of this came about) doesn't cover (much) of other items on the bar, & it finally actually works on on a non-Aero Windows theme, but now, once you "click" on the megabar, you're kind of stuck, unless you click away or hit the ESC key.

Behavior is so awkward, so backwards....ss.

Remind me just why any of this came about. Just what is the benefit? :bangshead:? How is UI/UX enhanced?
