Finding paths for patch maker to chew on

Post by gids »

I've tried to make my first patch this evening using Patch Maker. All went well until I tried to make a diff and Patch Maker said

Code: Select all

no CVS equivalent found for the following files:
en-US/locale/browser/help/menu_reference.xhtml

The CVS version of your patch may not work correctly.'

I see the problem (my path is missing the /chrome/ bit) but I don't know how to point Patch Maker at the right path for the Mozilla CVS.

Can anyone help?

Thanks

Update:I got round that by running pm from my Firefox folder instead of from chrome, now though I get the following error:

Code: Select all

sh: line 1: cvs: command not found

*** Warning: diff has zero size. Not overwriting. ***

I'm using a Ubuntu live CD
